The Fenyes Mansion’s butler’s pantry was illuminated by a double-function gas and electrical lighting fixture.  Electricity came to Pasadena in 1888, but was not always considered reliable.  The fixture retains its original frosted glass shades which are etched with an Art Nouveau floral pattern.
