| Eva Scott Fenyes created 14 folio volumes of pencil, ink, and watercolor sketches that chronicle her life and travels between the years 1869 – 1928. Through her significant artistic talent, Eva’s paintings provide insight not only into her love of travel, but also into her desire to preserve the deteriorating adobes of old California.
She sketched the oldest house in South Pasadena, referred to now as Adobe Flores. For a time, it was known as the Jose Perez Adobe, named after the owner who began building it in the 1840s. Eva referred to it simply as The House at Foot of Raymond Hill.
